We here at Kent School of Dance love to offer the chance to expose our beginning thru experienced dancers to Professional Dancer/Teachers from around the country. We bring them right here into our studio. This December, we will be bring ROBERT MOSES from Washington, DC and BRANDON SWANEY from Kansas. Both have been on all sides of the dance profession – from starting as students, performers, instructors, master teachers, competition judges, to top of the line choreographers!
Both are trained in all areas and styles with Robert presenting the most up beat, energetic jazz funk class and Brandon teaching the latest in contemporary styles.
Robert Moses has been teaching dance for years, as well as being an accomplished singer. He dances throughout the country with the Reebok Dance Team. He is also Dance Captain for Results Dance and Cheer Performers. Robert teaches for the Young American Performers of Rockville, MD and the Musical Theatre Center. His contemporary style of dance is based in Jazz and Urban Funk. Currently he is on the dance faculty at the University of Maryland and touring the country teaching fitness and endurance classes. Additional accomplishments include: Back-up dancer with Boost Tour which featured Paula Abdul. Dancer with Ultimate Entertainment Company. Dance Captain of the Results Fitness and Dance Team. Master Class Teacher for Reebok Dance and Fitness. Performed (dancer and singer) with Divas Ultra Nate and Barbara Tucker and with gospel artist Yolanda Adams. Stage Director for Model Source, Inc. Personal trainer for Sport and Health Companies. Dance coach for American Eagle Dance and Cheerleading Team. Master class Teacher for Starpower’s Power Pak Troupe. He also was featured in an interview as a competitive judge in the April 2003 issue of Dance Spirit Magazine.
Brandon Swaney has trained in all styles of dance and tumbling, and has been teaching and choreographing for the last 15 years. He currently resides in Wichita, KS and has been the Artistic Director for The Movement Authority dance company. Brandon has owned studios in Kansas and Texas, in which his students have gone on to win numerous awards, scholarship’s, and are now working in the professional field. Brandon is best known for his creative choreography in contemporary lyrical and jazz, while putting an emphasis on technique. He currently travels and teaches/choreographs for numerous studios, schools, and conventions. Brandon has performed in numerous industrials including MCI and Planet Hair. He is an adjudicator for several dance competitions as he loves to share his knowledge and passion for dance.
